At about 4:00 pm on August 3rd, the sun was blazing and the outdoor temperature was as high as 38 degrees Celsius. Located on the construction site near Guyuan Road in the cold water beach area, 8 exploration rigs were operating at the same time, and the sound of the drilling rig hitting the rock overshadowed the nearby excavator undergoing surface clearing operations. Each exploration rig is equipped with a sunshade, which looks like a sailing ship about to set sail from a distance.
This is the construction site of the Home Furnishing Exhibition and Trading Center, a sub project of the Yongzhou Dry Port Project. Geological survey and surface clearing are underway.
"We have entered the normal construction period since August 2, and there is still some shortage of machinery and manpower. We need to continue to increase investment to catch up with the progress." According to Dai Yihui, the survey project leader, the project covers an area of 360 acres, with 433 survey boreholes designed, with general boreholes no less than 5 meters of complete rock and control boreholes no less than 8 meters of complete rock. It is expected to complete the field survey business on August 20. "After integrating the data and completing the design, we can proceed with the construction of the trading center and standard factory buildings," Dai Yihui added.

The Yongzhou Dry Port Project is located in the north of the central urban area, adjacent to the entrance and exit of the Erguang Expressway and the Yongzhou North Cargo Station. It is one of the ten comprehensive transportation projects determined at the sixth party congress of the city, and also an important support for the opening and development of Yongzhou to the south and the sea. The total planned land area is 16000 mu, and the total planned investment is 50 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, rail, sea, highway and water transport can be realized, which has an important impact on Hunan's participation in the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", docking with the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and deepening cooperation with ASEAN.
On December 24th last year, the capacity expansion project in Yongzhou area of the Hunan Guangxi Railway was completed and put into operation, and the mobilization for the commencement of the Yongzhou Dry Port Project was held. On the same day, the first special freight train from Yongzhou to Beibu Gulf Port was opened simultaneously. On May 27th this year, the inaugural ceremony of the Yongzhou China Europe Railway and the Yongzhou Hunan Guangdong non rail sea intermodal train was held in the freight yard of Yongzhou North Station, and two new international multimodal logistics channels were added, becoming the first example in our province to connect with the five major international logistics channels through internal railway branch lines.

"Yongzhou Dry Port has the function of completing 'arrival, loading and unloading, compilation, inspection, and shipment' at one time. Through the rail sea intermodal transportation line, it can also avoid loading and unloading, storage, and other links, which is equivalent to moving the sea port to the door of your home." Wang Xinguo, Deputy Commander of the Yongzhou Dry Port Project Coordination Command in Cold Water Beach District, introduced that relying on the Yongzhou North Cargo Station, the Yongzhou Dry Port project is planned to build a core startup zone based on industrial functions The comprehensive bonded area and the three functional spaces leading to the circle of the industrial park and the circle of the smart home industry park include the construction of platforms, channels, operations, and industries.
The municipal party committee and government attach great importance to the construction of Yongzhou Dry Port Project. At the beginning of this year, Zhu Hongwu, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, led a team to Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, to investigate the development of furniture industry clusters and the construction of dry ports. He emphasized that Yongzhou should seriously learn from the successful experience of Ganzhou dry ports, seize opportunities, work hard, and accelerate the construction of Yongzhou dry ports. Since then, Zhu Hongwu has repeatedly gone deep into the project site to conduct research. Chen Ailin, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, has repeatedly gone to the project site to coordinate and solve specific issues during the project construction process. In February of this year, the Cold Water Beach District established a high-level project coordination headquarters with the Secretary of the District Party Committee as the political commissar and the Chief of the District as the commander. It has held several project promotion meetings to specifically address the blocking points and difficult issues faced in the process of land acquisition and demolition, and ensure that the work is carried out in an orderly and efficient manner. The district has organized three township and street land acquisition and demolition headquarters, including Fenghuang Street, Coral Street, and Gaoxi Town, as well as departments such as the District Natural Resources Bureau, the District Land Acquisition Office, and the District Urban Construction Office. A total of more than 200 cadres with experience in land acquisition and relocation work have adopted unconventional work modes such as "5+2" and "white+black" to cooperate with the city in land acquisition and demolition work.

Longma Street, Coral Street, Lengshuitan District, belongs to the core area of Yongzhou Dry Port Project. After several setbacks, Jiang Xiaobo, who has lived here for more than ten years, finally dispelled his concerns and actively cooperated in signing the contract. Since the signing of the contract for the acquisition of state-owned land and houses in the core area of Yongzhou Dry Port was launched on June 16th, the Coral Street Land Acquisition and Demolition Headquarters has adopted a wall map combat approach, developed a "one policy for one household" working method, divided into ten land acquisition and demolition working groups, regardless of day and night, fearing extreme heat, went deep into the land acquisition and demolition line, patiently explained the policies, achieved "one ruler measures the bottom", and effectively promoted the land acquisition and demolition work of the project. After 45 days of intensive efforts, 257 collection contracts have been signed, covering an area of 115000 square meters, and the signing rate has reached 95%.
At the demolition site of Plot S1 in Guyuan Community, Fenghuang Street, the staff maintained on-site order according to their respective division of labor, assisted the residents in moving the items in the contracted houses, and excavators and demolition machines systematically demolished the contracted houses. The staff members went into households to publicize the importance of project construction and specific policies for land acquisition and demolition, winning the understanding and support of the people. After signing contracts with other community residents, Zeng Xiaoyuan actively moved out furniture, daily necessities, and other items, improving the efficiency of demolition. He smiled and said, "The propaganda and policies are in place. As ordinary people, we should make some contributions to the economic development of Yongzhou."
According to the latest report provided by the Coordination Headquarters Office of Yongzhou Dry Port Project in Cold Water Beach District, as of August 6, Yongzhou Dry Port Project has signed land acquisition agreements of more than 2275 mu, and signed housing acquisition agreements of 431 buildings, covering an area of 186200 square meters. Currently, all the buildings on the construction land for the Smart Home Industrial Park Phase I standard factory building, home furnishing exhibition and trading center in the Inland Port Project have been demolished and construction has commenced.
