On the morning of December 24th, Yongzhou City held the completion and operation of the Xianggui Railway Yongzhou Area Expansion Project, the mobilization for the commencement of the Yongzhou International Dry Port, and the sixth major project centralized commencement and completion activity. The first special freight train from Yongzhou to Beibu Gulf Port was opened at the same time. The completion of the capacity expansion project for the Yongzhou region of the Hunan Guangxi Railway and the commencement of the Yongzhou International Dry Port project mark a new page in the construction of the transportation system in Yongzhou, which will definitely play an important role in promoting the opening up and development of Yongzhou to the south and the sea, as well as building a highland for reform and opening up in the inland region.

Zhao Limin said that the completion and operation of the capacity expansion project in Yongzhou region of the Hunan Guangxi Railway has effectively alleviated the transportation pressure of surrounding hubs, further improved the flexibility and mobility of the regional road network, met the needs of economic development in Yongzhou region, further improved the railway freight layout, and better met the needs of urban development planning in Yongzhou.
Before the commencement and completion activities, Zhu Hongwu and Chen Ailin also unveiled the Yongzhou International Dry Port Project.
The capacity expansion project in Yongzhou area of the Hunan-Guangxi Railway is located in Lengshuitan District and Dong'an County, and includes four projects, namely, the construction of the third line from Yijiaqiao to Yongzhou Station, the construction of Yongzhou North Station, Yongzhou North Freight Yard, and the upgrading and reconstruction of Yongzhou Station, with a total investment of 1.97 billion yuan.
The Yongzhou International Dry Port Project is located in the north of the downtown area of Yongzhou, with a total investment of about 50 billion yuan. The first phase of the Yongzhou International Dry Port Comprehensive Industrial Park project has a planned construction land area of about 5400 mu and an investment scale of about 10 billion yuan. The central area is a dry port core area, the northern area is a green home furnishing and smart small household appliance industrial park, and the southern area is a characteristic town.
Today, a total of 52 major projects have been launched in the city with a total investment of 34.81 billion yuan, and 90 projects have been completed with a total investment of 27.83 billion yuan.
